The Waiting Game of Residual Income

Residual income is not a way to get rich quick. It can take months and even years to build up your residual income to the levels that it can be your entire income. Many people do not have the patience to play the waiting game when it comes to residual income. They plan to get started and work at building residual income for a couple of months and then walk away because they believe there is no money to be made. I pity these poor misguided people when it comes to residual income.

This is most commonly found on residual income sites that are revenue sharing based like Ehow and Info Barrel. You can go onto the Ehow forum on any given day and see a post or two from new writers who heard that it was a good idea to build residual income on the site. The post usually goes something like this: I have been on Ehow for about two weeks and I have 8 articles published. Why have I not seen any earnings? I am starting to believe that making money here is not possible. Ah, the poor misguided people. I always have to shake my head after I read this type of post. If only they knew that with a little hard work and playing the waiting game that they could build those 8 articles into some real residual income.

I will admit it. I have not always been a patient person. Actually if you ask my boyfriend, I am one of the most impatient people on the planet. You may be asking yourself, how I can be patient and build residual income. The answer is that I have seen the earning potential of the many ways that I have started to build my income. I knew that to make real money that I would have to wait out the slow starting period at the beginning.

My first month on Ehow, I earned 20 cents. The second month that I was writing articles on Ehow, I made 96 cents. For many first time people to residual income, this would have made them walk away thinking this was all a scam. I am thankful that I did not do this. I decided instead to better my writing for the type of place that I was publishing. I learned from writers that were making the type of residual income that I only dreamed about. My earnings quickly went up. I earned $24.28 my next month and never looked back.

This is why it is easier for me to play the waiting game with the new residual income streams that I am working on. I know that by learning the best way to optimize my potential to earn money everyday, the shorter the time frame that I will have to wait for results.

The message to all of you is not to get discouraged if you do not see results over night with the ways that you have chosen to build residual income. Think of residual income like growing a garden. First you have to plant the seeds and then take care of them until they bloom. This is how residual income works. Practice some patience and soon you will reap the rewards.
